Rami Sarieddine
Cypriot–Lebanese pianist Rami Sarieddine brings together solo performance, chamber music and the creation of new work. His artistic interests extend from the established piano repertoire to contemporary music, with collaborations that explore the meeting of music, poetry and visual art. He has performed across Europe, the United States, China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.
Artistic background
Collaboration with living composers is central to his work. He premiered Savas Savva’s Piano Concerto No. 3, commissioned by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and has given the premieres of several works by Andis Skordis. With violinist Machiko Ozawa, he also premiered a work by Evagoras Karageorgis in Japan. His collaborations with Conrad Winslow and Nina C. Young further reflect a sustained commitment to bringing new music to audiences through close dialogue between composer and performer.
Philip Glass’s music has been a recent focus of his solo performances. In September 2026, he presented the complete Études, Book One, in Nicosia. This was followed by a collaboration with sound and visual artist Tatsuru Arai for the opening of the WIP Festival at CYENS, where selected études were performed in dialogue with Arai’s installation.
His engagement with chamber music and the human voice finds a particular expression in Chimera, which he co-founded with bass Andrew Robert Munn in 2019. Their programmes bring voice and piano into conversation with poetry and other artistic disciplines, with performances in Athens, Berlin and Paris.
Born and raised in Cyprus, Sarieddine studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the New England Conservatory in Boston before completing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles.

Teaching
Teaching
Rami’s teaching encourages pianists to deepen their musical understanding, refine their technique and develop an individual artistic voice. Drawing on his international experience as a performer and educator, he tailors lessons to each student’s interests, experience and aspirations.
At Piano Studio by Maria, he works with adult pianists who already have a foundation in playing and wish to develop further. Lessons offer a thoughtful, supportive space to explore repertoire, build confidence and cultivate a more expressive relationship with the piano.
